Transitioning

Some things in life turn out better than you expected. A marriage. Children. Your career. In my case, God smiled, and I hit a trifecta.

As I transition to a new, more relaxed phase of my professional life, from Founder and CEO of my 32-year-old, national Public Relations Agency to sometime-Independent Consultant and continuing Volunteer, I now know that I made the perfect career choice. Public Relations has afforded me untold opportunities---to positively impact the hundred-plus Employers and Clients whom we served, to see every nook and cranny of the United States, as well as work abroad, develop as a person and professional, volunteer endlessly, and meet some very interesting and influential people. Some of the latter of whom have become long-time Friends.

If you care to spend a minute or two on this site, you'll learn about our work and about me. As I undertake this Transition, my greatest gratitude, even beyond our Clients, goes to my late Husband Edward, who was so integral to the success of The Pires Group and my personal happiness. Gratitude, also, to my Daughter Carrie and Son-in-Law Josh, my Teachers and Mentors, Spiritual and Professional Advisers, Employees and Friends for their support.

It's been quite a ride! Now I plan to continue it, but in a slower lane.
